LGBT Support
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer, Intersex, Asexual – These are not mental health issues. These are identity descriptors. And we celebrate them all.
There are descriptors that indicate our sex, our gender, our attraction, and our identity; they all make up the uniqueness of each individual.
Being part of the LGBT community can come with specific challenges such as: finding safe spaces to be full and free, finding place in a community, cultural oppression, dealing with microaggressions and on and on. These experiences can lead to unique struggles and feelings of isolation, loneliness, and increased rates of depression and anxiety. You are not alone.
